Gerald “Gerry” “Dimps” Wallace Landers, age 86, of Stratford, passed away suddenly in the comfort of his friends on Wednesday, December 13, 2017. Born in Stratford son of the late Delbert and Katherine (Fitch) Landers. Survived by his longtime and very good friends Joyce Steinacker and Kathryn McClement.  Survived by his siblings Ken (Edna) Landers, Raymond Landers and his sister-in-law Dorothy Landers, along with many nieces and nephews. Gerald was a longtime employee of Kroehler Manufacturing, a member of the Army Navy & Air Force Veterans Branch #261 (Stratford) and a lifelong member of the Ontario Street Baptist Church. Besides his parents, Gerald was predeceased by siblings Doug, Ron, Dorothy (Stew) Crew, Mae (Roy) Taylor, Jean (Frank) Bishop and sister-in-law Jean Landers. Friends and relatives may call at the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Sunday, December 17, 2017 from 2-5 p.m. (ANAF Branch #261 will hold a service at 1:45 p.m.). The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Avondale Cemetery.   As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Army Navy & Air Force Branch #261 or the Stratford-Perth Humane Society through the funeral home. 519.271.7411
