George Stewart lived a full and adventurous life. With his wife Verna they purchased their first home on Church Street in Stratford. His first job with the railroad was to deliver messages on his bicycle. George worked for the CN Railroad and VIA Rail for over forty years, living in Sebringville, Oakville and Niagara-on-the-Lake. George and Verna had many travel adventures together from a cottage on the coast in Wales to Portugal and Spain. George was a very industrious man renovating two historic home into bed and breakfast businesses in Niagara-On-the-Lake. George and Verna never shied away from hard work and were always willing to take on a new challenge. His family remember him as a kind-hearted and quiet man.
