James Donald (Jim) Morris
James Donald (Jim) Morris, passed away peacefully at VON Sakura House on Monday June 26, 2017. Jim was born May 21, 1947 to Hilton and Rosina (Howe) Morris, living most of his life in the Harrington and Stratford communities. In addition to his many dedicated years of service to his employers in Stratford, Jim devoted many years to bodybuilding as a participant, promoter, builder, trainer, coach, mentor and a good friend to so many. Establishing Jamor Enterprises in collaboration with his good friend Norm Jacobs, Jim was an integral part of bodybuilding and physique events in Ontario and was a founder and collaborator in the Toronto Pro Supershow. Jim’s dedication and accomplishments were recognized in 2016 with the Physique Association of Ontario’s Lifetime Achievement Award. Jim is survived by his son, Michael, his son-in-law Justin Mattys, his granddaughter Juliana Mattys, his brothers Bob (Nora), Al (Deb) and Glen (Cathy), his sister Joan (Blair Kelner), brothers-in-law Dennis (Joanne) Huffman and Robert (Joan) Huffman, and several nieces and nephews. Also survived by his dear friend Yolanda Rosato. Jim was predeceased by his wife Julie (2001) and his daughter Mandy (2011), as well as his parents Hilton (2003) and Rosina (2014). Jim’s family would like to thank caregivers and medical staff in London, Hamilton and Sakura House, as well as Yolanda and her family. Friends will be received at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Friday June 30, 2017, from 3:30-5:30 and 7:00-9:00pm. The funeral service will take place, at the funeral home on Saturday July 1, 2017 at 11:00.am.
