Lieselotte Hamm, age 86, of Stratford passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital on January 6, 2014. Born in Lampertheim, Germany, daughter of the late Elisabeth and Ludwig Gimber. Lieselotte worked for FAG Bearings from 1956 until her retirement and was a member of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Stratford. Beloved wife of the late Jakob Hamm who predeceased her November 16, 2013. Loving mother of Sieglinde Korb (Ludwig) and Erika Keller. Cherished Oma of Michael, Jamie, Tricia-Lee (Eric), Stephanie (Anthony). Great Oma of Tylor, Brooke, Tristan and Alexander. Also survived by a sister Wilhelmine Krawczyk, niece Dawn Mattell (Jeff) and their children Samantha and Ryan, an sister-in-law Katharina Nagler and many nieces, nephews, cousins and family in Germany. Besides her parents and husband she was predeceased by a brother Hans and Brenda Gimber, a sister Katharina and Adam Helrweck, by brothers-in-law Heinrich Nagler and Wladyslaw Krawczyk and by a sister-in-law Erna Eichenauer. A private family service will be held at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford with Rev. Fr. Dick Bester officiating. Interment in Avondale Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Stratford General Hospital or the charity of one’s choice through the funeral home.
