Shirley Anne Tourigny, age 68, of Stratford passed away peacefully at Sakura House, Woodstock on February 26, 2014. She is survived by her son Richard, daughter Lisa (Jason); a sister Connie Robinson; niece Julie Robinson (Cyndi); nephews Michael and Chris Robinson; great nieces Jessica Wolfe-Robinson and Tamara Carrothers and special friend Diane Chisholm (Ken). Predeceased by her mother Velma Sykes and brother-in-law Larry Robinson. Shirley attended Bethel Pentecostal Church and her greatest desire each day of her life was to serve her Living God. She loved people and daily looked for ways she could help them. She was a prayer warrior, praying for all who she felt needed a heavenly intervention. She worked many years for Standard Products. The disease from which she seccumbed took a great toll on who she really was. We who love her will remember the real Shirley. Friends and relatives may call at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Saturday, March 1, from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. with Pastor Charles Swartwood officiating. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Sakura House through the funeral home. www.wgyoungfuneralhome.com
