Eileen Elizabeth Miller age 87, of Waterloo, ON, passed away peacefully at the home of her niece Donna Brenneman and her husband Ron where she has resided since October of 2012. Eileen was born in Gadshill, daughter of the late Theodore Riehl and the former Elizabeth Wettlaufer. She had worked for the Government of Canada and later as an interior designer at Schreiter’s Furniture. Eileen and her husband Carl enjoyed many summers at their cottage in the Muskoka’s with family and friends. She was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church, Gadshill where she and Carl were married, August 16, 1952. Her husband Carl passed away December 17, 2008. She leaves to mourn two sisters Viola Satchell and Vera Hunt and a brother Irvin Riehl and his wife Muriel. She is the sister in law of Kay Riehl, Marjorie Riehl, Erma Riehl. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and their families. Besides her parents and her husband Carl, Eileen was predeceased by sisters and brothers Edna Baumbach, Isabella Satchell, Shirley Shrubsole, Beatrice Wilker, Ferne Fuller, Victor Riehl, Ted Riehl, Stan Riehl (twin), and brothers in law and sisters in law Lorne Baumbach, Irvin Neeb, George Satchell, Milton Satchell, Burnell Wilker, Ted Hunt, Bill Fuller and Buelah McLean. Friends and relatives may call at the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St., Stratford on Monday, June 30 from 1 p.m. until time of funeral service at 2:30 p.m. Rev Patricia Jackson will officiate Burial will be held at St. Peters Lutheran Church Cemetery, Gadshill.
