It is with great sorrow and sadness that we share that Heaven has gained another angel, Byron Joseph Leader, age 30, of Stratford. Byron passed away suddenly on July 6, 2014. He is the beloved husband of Ginger (Fewkes) and special daddy of Carson. Cherished son of Don and Marian Leader. Loving brother of Leanna Hendriks (Dan), John Leader (Lisa) and uncle of Olivia and Morgan Hendriks and Corey Leader. Also survived by his grandfather John Lillow, a brother-in-law Brad Fewkes (Jackie), his father-in-law and mother-in-law Brian and Joanne Fewkes, many aunts, uncles and cousins and by his best friend Cooper. Predeceased by his grandmother Gladys Lillow, his grandfather Don Leader Sr., by grandparents Martha and Bill Alles and by close friends Nick Priestap and Chase Wilson. Byron was an avid sportsman. He loved the outdoors, his motorcycle and had coached hockey for many years with Stratford Minor Hockey and the Huron Perth Lakers. He was to leave in August to start a coaching job with the Rouen Dragons in France. Friends and relatives may call at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Friday, July 11, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. (feel free to dress casual. Byron would like that) A private family service will be held on Saturday. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to an Education Fund for Carson (cheques made payable to Young Memorials) or to Stratford Minor Hockey Association through the funeral home.
