Lloyd Nelson Tuer, age 86, of Stratford passed away peacefully at Victoria Hospital, London on August 29, 2014. Lloyd lived life to the fullest. Whether it was inventing his next creation, yelling at the Toronto Maple Leafs on television or spoiling his children and grandchildren with rides on the snowmobile or golf cart, he made the best of every day, even during trying times. He was a man of commitment, a man of creativity and a man of humour. In later years when he was living on his own, he could often be found at the grocery store trying to make the soberest of cashiers smile-often with success. Lloyd was born in Stratford, son of the late Frank and Adeline Tuer. He was predeceased by his wife Hazel (Doerr) October 22, 2010. Loving father of Steven (deceased July 23, 2013), Nancy Johnston (Jeff), Kevin (Mary Jane). Grandfather of Brittney, Joshua, Brianna Johnston, Vanessa, Melissa, Steven and Matthew Tuer. Dear brother of Marie Knowles. Also survived by sisters-in-law Grace Tuer, Wanda Tuer and Beatrice Huras and many nieces and nephews and their families. Lloyd was also predeceased by brothers Ray, Lorne, William, Gordon, Jack and Donald Tuer and by a brother-in-law Rae Knowles. Friends and relatives may call at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Monday, September 1, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, 202 Erie Street, Stratford on Tuesday, September 2nd at 2:00 p.m. Rev.
