Wilhelmine Krawczyk age 89 years, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at the Stratford General Hospital. She was born in Lampertheim, Germany daughter of the late Ludwig and Elisabeth Gimber. She immigrated to Canada and settled in Stratford where she was employed at FAG Bearings until her retirement in 1989. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church and the Royal Canadian Legion, Stratford Branch # 8. Wilhelmine was predeceased by her husband Wladyslaw Krawczyk July 20, 2006. She was also predeceased by sisters Katharina Herweck (Adam), Lieselotte Hamm (Jakob), brother Hans Gimber (Brenda). Surviving are nieces Dawn Mattell and husband Jeff, Sieglinde Korb (Ludwig), Erika Keller and nieces and nephews in Germany and Poland. Grand nieces and nephews Samantha and Ryan Mattell, Michael and Jamie Korb, Tricia-Lee and Eric, Stephanie and Anthony. Friends and relatives may call at the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St., Stratford on Wednesday, September 24 from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. Father Dick Bester will officiate. Interment will follow at Avondale Cemetery.
