George David Renecker, age 99, a longtime resident of Sebringville passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital on Thursday, January 01, 2015. He was born in Ellice Township, November 25, 1915, son of the late John and Annie (Seebach) Renecker. Beloved husband for 67 years of Margaret (Messerschmidt). Loving father of Sharon, Janice (Mike LeBlanc), Linda (Tom Feeney), Lloyd (Julie Clegg). Dear Grandfather of Christopher, Kyle and Sarah Feeney. Brother-in-law of Viola Messerschmidt, Esther Dennis (Don), and Ed Messerschmidt (Sarah). Also survived by his nieces and nephews. Predeceased by all his brothers and sisters, Art Renecker (Jessie), Edna Herold (George), Florence Bald (Mike), Ed Renecker (Mabel), Alf Renecker (Ella), Walter Renecker, Louis Reinecker (Cora), Ralph in infancy and his brothers-in-law Harold and Earl Messerschmidt. George was a veteran of WWII serving with the Essex Scottish Regiment. He operated his own business installing eavestroughing and TV antennas for many years. He was a quiet and kind man. George was a lifelong member of 1st St. John’s Lutheran Church, Seebachs Hill. He will always be loved and missed by his family. Friends and relatives may call at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Monday, January 5, from 12 noon until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 pm. Rev. William Kramer will officiate. Interment in 1st St. John’s Lutheran Church Cemetery, Seebach’s Hill.
