Our family sadly wishes to announce that mom joined dad in heaven on March 11, 2015. Marilyn Louise Miller (nee Snelgrove) was born July 25th 1940 in Camborne Ont. to the late Kay & Olaf Snelgrove. She lived her life in the Camborne area until the late 60’s when she met our father on a blind date (the late William L. Miller). Love bloomed quickly, and she married her sweetheart on Feb 22nd 1969. After many conversations of what province and city to settle in and call “home,” dad found employment in Stratford, where they were together for 42 years until dad’s passing, one day before mom’s birthday, in 2011. Left to mourn are her children, Tammy (Terry) Scott, and Joseph Miller, also grandson, Angus Scott, all at home, sister, Lois (Robert) Brown, Camborne, Ont., and brother, Everett (Marie) Snelgrove, Oshawa, Ont., sister-in-law, Kay MacKenzie, Westville, N.S., brother-in-law, Harold (Diane) Miller, Amherst, N.S., uncle-in-law, Chet Lyttle, Welland Ont., special friends, Lynn & Bill Scott, Stratford, Ont, Horst (Karen) & Annie Wessel, Waterloo Ont, and Elaine Kirkpatrick, Toronto, Ont., many cherished cousins, nieces, nephews, step brothers and sisters. Besides her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by her “late in life” step-mom Gladys Snelgrove, mother & father in-law, Gertrude & Joseph Miller, sister-in-law, Dot Little (Ralph Clark), brothers-in-law, Jim (June) Miller and John Miller. Mom always enjoyed “fancy-work” and could be found knitting or crocheting a treasure for a much loved family member or friend. She made every stitch with love from her heart, and also taught many how to do her crafts. Family meant everything to mom and she would always remember a birthday or special event, and make sure she sent a card and a treasure. Thank-you mom for the “little extras” We will always love you!!! We are so proud and honoured to be able to care for our loving mother in her final stages of life at home, so a huge thanks goes to all the awesome people at CCAC, & VON (our “angels with 2 sets of wings”), Dr. Anne Martin and the Star Health Care Team. Without you none of this would have been possible, bless you all. Following mom’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A “dual” internment service and “celebration of life” for both our parents will be held at a later date in Camborne, Ont. As expressions of sympathy, please give a little extra to the charity of your choice……”Save me a dance mom……I’ll be cutting in someday!!!” www.wgyoungfuneralhome.com 519.271,7411
