Harold William Hopps passed away with family at his side at the Stratford General Hospital on Friday November 14, 2014. He was born July 29, 1941 in London Ontario. Devoted husband of Ann Carolyn Delmage, whom he married February 10, 1968 at The Christ Anglican Church in Forest Ontario.
Loved dearly by his children Jason Hopps and Krista & Harry Scott. Special Grandpa to Adam & Oliver Scott and Rowan Hopps. Brother of Bob Hopps and the late Linda Forbes, Doug Hopps, John and Kim Hopps, Kevin and Kathy Hopps and Sandra Noble. Also missed by his aunt Ellen Findley and his many cherished lifelong friends. He was pre-deceased by his parents Louise Findley, Wilfred & Irene Hopps, special uncle William Findley and parents-in-law Keith & Beatrice Delmage. Harold and his sense of humour will surely be missed by his family, friends and acquaintances. Harold’s Driver Education career spanned over 4 decades. He volunteered many years with Rotary Hockey in Stratford and for various activities at his Snow Bird community Casa Del Sol in Davenport Florida. The family spent 20 seasons enjoying their trailer at Sauble Falls. He loved playing piano and reading books. His retirement included traveling with Ann, bowling, golf, bridge, quilting and embroidery was enjoyed. To all his extended family & friends, your loving prayers, thoughts and kindness have been so very comforting to his wife and children and are a testament to his full and joyous life. A celebration of Harold’s Life will be held in the Reception Centre of the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St. Stratford in Saturday April 18, 2015 from 2-4 pm.
