Linda Audrey Carlisle, age 72, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer at home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, May 20, 2015. Linda was born March 7, 1943 in Stratford, daughter of the late Thomas and Beatrice (Kruspe) Beltz. Beloved wife of 52 years of Bill Carlisle, proud and loving mother of Thomas Carlisle and Shannon Carlisle (Jason). She will be fondly remembered by her granddaughters Amanda Carlisle and Georgia Sideris. Dear sister of Beverley Butcher, Sandra McNicol (Ron) and Brenda Kelly (Jim) and her godmother, Aunt Audrey Scantlebury. Linda is survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews all whom adored her. Besides her parents, Linda was predeceased by grandson Jonathan, nephew Derek Kelly, brother-in-law Murray Butcher, cousin Cathy Leasa. Linda was a beautiful person both inside and out; she greatly enriched all the lives who knew her. Friends and relatives may call at the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Sunday, May 24, 2015 from 2 4 p.m. and 7 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, May 25, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Sebringville Cemetery.
