With deep sadness we announce the passing of Wendy Francis. Wendy passed peacefully at Sakura House in Woodstock with the support of her very proud and loving family on Tuesday, August 18th, 2015. Wendy will be dearly missed by her family and is survived by her son Matt, his partner Stephanie Harrison and their two beautiful sons, Archie and Hayes. Wendy is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law Doug and Sharon Hughes, their daughters Shannon Hughes (daughters Madison and Logan) and Dawn Broadfoot (Brayden and Kendra) and sister-in-law Lauren Francis and brother-in-law Richard Francis.Wendy was predeceased by her husband John Oakley Francis in April, 2011, their son Stephen Oakley Francis in February, 1994. As well as her parents Donald and Violet Hughes (2005 and 1999) and her parents-in-law Lorne and Dorothy Francis (1973 and 2012). Wendy quite simply lived life for her family. John and Wendy had a wonderful life with Steve and Matt always busy, enjoying, learning and teaching in the family. They had incredible experiences in life together. Wendy was painfully loyal and protective of all levels of her family and no Mother was ever more proud of her sons. Wendy’s professional career over the many years touched judicial, legal and educational working opportunities. Friends and relatives are invited to a visitation at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Sunday, August 23, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The family will have a private graveside service on Monday at Avondale Cemetery.
