It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Norma Margaret Joyce (Ball) Birkmann, age 77, at Spruce Lodge, peacefully with her family at her side, on Friday, October 16, 2015. Born in Stratford on January 30th, 1938, daughter of the late Russell and Ila Mae (Bodfield) Ball of the Mitchell Road, St. Mary’s. Devoted mother of Teresa and Karen (George Kerekes). Proud and loving grandmother of Kali Kreller, Brett Lawrance, and Milana Kerekes. Predeceased by her siblings; Elsie (Harold) Darling, Bernice Fletcher, Hazel (Allan) Coddington, Earl (Lillian) Ball, Douglas (Noreen) Ball and Murray (Ruth) Fletcher. Norma is survived by sisters-in-law, Lillian, and Ruth, cousin Harriet Bodfield, special nieces, Rose (David) Glanville and Gloria Foster, long time school friend, Norman Shier, as well as many extended family members and friends. Teresa, Karen and families would like to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Laurel Moore and to the wonderful and compassionate staff at Spruce Lodge for their support and special care of Norma during this long journey.
