Darlene Haynes passed away peacefully on Dec. 29, 2015 at the Stratford General Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born in Milverton on February 21, 1938, daughter of the late Vera (Moser) and Albert Gropp. Beloved wife of John Haynes for 45 years. Loving mother of Lynnette (Wayne) McLeod, Wendy Ladd, Sheree Vollmer (Paul Sterkenburg), David (Elaine) Vollmer, Larry (Janice) Vollmer and Ben (Jackie) Haynes. Dear grandmother of Karen McLeod (Garett Bessey), Kevin McLeod, Kyle (Jennifer) McLeod, Erin and Craig Vollmer, Dylan Haynes, Storm Fulsom and Austin Crawley. Proud great-grandmother of Sydney, Kolby and Kohen McLeod and Declan and Emma Bessey. Also survived by her sisters, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Darlene was pre-deceased by her first husband Bruce Vollmer. Darlenes children were everything to her and she devoted her life to raising them. She enjoyed playing bingo, playing on her tablet and seeing all the photos of her family and friends on Facebook. Friends and relatives may call at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Friday, January 1, from 6 9 pm and at Zion Lutheran Church, 202 Erie Street, Stratford, on Saturday from 1 pm until the service time at 2 pm. Cremation will take place. A reception will follow the service.
