Miriam Isabelle Dunbar, age 94, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 7th, at the Victoria Hospital in London. She was predeceased by her husband Walter Scott Dunbar, her parents Ellen (Parker) and John W. R. Smith, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Reta and Charles Ready and Jamie and Hazel Dunbar. Loving sister and sister-in-law to Joyce Pauli and the late Ross Pauli. She is survived by her children Ellen and husband Markus Wirz, Kitchener, Scott and Darlene Dunbar, Stratford, John and Sharon Dunbar, Stratford and Jamie and Sheila Dunbar, Stouffville. Cherished grandmother of nine grandchildren, Melanie Wirz and Peter Lampert, Calgary, Sabrina Wirz and Antoine Pouyet, Vancouver, Isabelle Wirz, Vancouver, Christine Dunbar and Scott Neidig, Wartburg, Andrew and Margaret Dunbar Stratford, Laurie and Kevin Zehr, Stratford, Cindy Dunbar, Stratford, Justin Dunbar, Stouffville and Brittany Dunbar and Mike Armstrong, Chilliwack. Cherished grandmother to 5 great-grandchildren, Ethan and Cody Zehr, Bradley Karpowitz, Darren Lupton and Landen Dunbar. Miriam was a life member of the St. Pauls Womens Institute and the Womens Missionary Society of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. She was a lifelong member of St. Andrews Church. She had served in the Wrens (Womens Royal Canadian Navy) in Halifax. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 29th from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at the St. Andrews Church, Stratford. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 12 noon with a luncheon to follow. Interment Stratford Cemetery. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Parkinson Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Cancer Society or the Childrens Health Foundation, London through the W. G.
