It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Catherine (Babe) Ann Patterson (nee Lewry). Cathy passed away at age 70 surrounded by her family in her new Stratford, Ontario home on December 30, 2015 after a short but difficult battle with cancer. Originally from Saskatchewan, she was born July 30, 1945 in Moose Jaw to the late Jean Rosealth Lewry (Munro) and Louis (Scoop) Lewry. She leaves her husband of 50 years, Bob Patterson and their three sons Kenneth, Douglas (Darija), Stephen (Robin) and their two sons (grandchildren) Hutton and Wesley and, of course, her cuddle companion “grand-dog” Oreo. The Patterson family would like to thank our many friends and neighbours for helping with the children, bringing us food and reaching out with their love and support. We would also like to thank Dorie Woolrich and the nursing team at CarePartners for their kindness and compassion. As a young woman, Cathy worked as a secretary and then stayed home to raise her family, while enjoying quilting and being involved in many different charities. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shriners Children’s Hospital, Stratford/Perth Humane Society or a charity of one’s choice through the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford. 519.271.7411 www.wgyoungfuneralhome.com.
A service will take place in Moose Jaw at Zion United Church on January 29th to celebrate our beautiful Mum. “To thine own self be true.”
