Lorna Parsons, age 86, of Stratford, slipped away quietly at the Stratford General Hospital on March 5, 2016. She was born in Winterton, Newfoundland, daughter of the late Clarence and Gladys Parrott. Beloved wife, for 69 years, of Norman. Loving mother of Wayne (Janice). Grandmother of Adam (Andrea Leyser) and Trish (Geoff Skelton). Immensely proud of her great granddaughter, the mighty Quinn. Dear sister of Claire Agens, Enid ODonoghue, John Parrott (Muriel), Phyllis Phillips (John), Clarence Parrott (Julie) and Joan Parrott (Rick). She was also the loving aunt of numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by a sister Eileen Green and her husband, Calvin, by a brother Graham Parrott, and his wife, Belle, and by brothers-in-law David Agens and John ODonoghue. First in her heart was her family. Second was the Toronto Maple Leafs, although occasionally the order was reversed. Many thanks to Dr. Dhillon and the exceptional nurses at Stratford General Hospital. Special thank you to Dr. Eric Thomas for his attentiveness and compassion throughout Lornas illness. Memorial Service to be held at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Saturday, April 2 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Huron Perth Lung Association through funeral home. 519.271.7411 www.wgyoungfuneralhome.com
