Lewis James Pelton, born September 14, 1925 passed peacefully June 6, 2016 after a fight with cancer. He was predeceased by his wife of 25 years Marjorie (King) in 2000, by his sisters Emma 1981, Jessie 2010, Florence 2016, brother McDonald in his youth and nieces Marilyn 1982 and Reta 2011. He is survived by his nephew Kenneth Huether and special friends Rick Turpin and family and Jeremy Turpin and family. Lewis farmed in Embro on the home farm his whole life. He loved his farm animals, in particular his Hereford cows, his music, his Scottish heritage and the friends he made in association with these pastimes. He will be remembered fondly and missed by many. In keeping with his wishes there will be no funeral services. A private burial will take place at North Embro Cemetery.
