Armella Marie Harding age 95, of Stratford, passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital on Thursday, July 28, 2016. She was born in Stratford, daughter of the late Leo Rumig and the former Anna Polzin and has lived here all her life. Armella was employed at Duggans Department Store, Walkers Department Store, Marks and Spencer and later at the Stratford and District Credit Union until her retirement. She was a faithful member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church and a member of the Catholic Womens League for over 60 years. Armella was predeceased by her husband Frederick Edward Harding September 22, 1985. Beloved mother of Leo Harding (Rose), Mary Harding (Rob Summers), David Harding (Marilyn), Joan Lewis (George). Loving grandmother of Brady and Ryan Lewis. Also survived by a sister Clara Black and many cherished nieces and nephews and their families. Besides her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by a son Mark (1979), a sister Helen Wilson (George), brothers Vincent Rumig (Marie) (Jean), Jerome Rumig (Mildred), Ralph Rumig (Kathleen) and a brother-in-law William Black. Friends and relatives may call at the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St., Stratford on Tuesday, August 2 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. CWL service will be held at 4:30 p.m. The mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church on Wednesday, August 3 at 11 a.m. Interment in Avondale Cemetery.
