Charlotte Rose Scholl, age 88, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Greenwood Court, Stratford on December 8, 2016. She was born in Stratford, daughter of the late Charles and Marie (Burgener) Stoskopf. Beloved wife of the late William Frederick Scholl who predeceased her in 1995. Loving mother of Robert (Deb), Nancy Morrison (Terry) and Laura Scott (Ken). Grandmother of B.J. Scott (Daniella Wald), Christy Varicat (Tajie), Kelly Thornber (Mark), Amy Scholl, Shannon Scott and Scott Morrison (Laura). Great grandmother of Isabela, Callum, Maddy-Jayne, Amita, Jack, Taj and Oliver. Dear sister of Doris Bartlett and Ethel Dunbar, sister-in law Laureen Smith and brother-in-law Lou Scholl. Lovingly remembered by extended family including many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Charlotte was predeceased by her son Jim (1974) and by a sister Hazel Skalitzky. Charlotte and her husband William farmed all of their life at Monkton. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Monkton and more recently Zion Lutheran Church, Stratford. Charlotte, an avid quilter and gardener, was a gentle and caring person who touched the hearts of everyone she met. Charlotte enjoyed the last 10 years at Greenwood Court. Friends and relatives may call at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Tuesday, December 13, from 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday at Greenwood Court Chapel, 90 Greenwood Drive, Stratford from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. A reception will follow the service.
