Evelyn Stella Lobsinger, age 92, of Stratford passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November, 30, 2016 at Spruce Lodge. Daughter of the late Joseph Patrick and Pearl Evelyn Lawrence. Adopted in 1928 by David and Agnes (Doig) Hislop and raised on their farm at Flanagans Corners. Evelyn met and married the love of her life Giles Lobsinger in 1944 who predeceased her in 2004. Proud mother of Anne Wickie and husband Tom, Margaret Bossence and husband Bruce, Rose Iacobellis, David Lobsinger and wife Tara and Mike Lobsinger and wife Mary Kay. Grandmother to eighteen grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Evelyn volunteered with the VON for 25 years, and this year she received her 60 year membership pin in the Catholic Womens League (CWL), Evelyn was also a very active supporter for many years with Right to Life. With five children she was kept busy at home. She managed to work at International Artcrafts for ten years, before coming back home to look after grandchildren. She dearly loved to garden, and would spend many hours out in the garden beside the garage. She was also an avid reader and card player – always up for a game of euchre or crazy 8’s. She will be sorely missed and is now at peace. Besides her parents and husband, Evelyn was predeceased by a son-in-law Frank Iacobellis, a brother Russell Patrick and a sister Irene Brown. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 50 Well Street, Stratford on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the mass. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Immaculate Conception Church or Right to Life through the W. G.
