It is with great sadness we announce the passing of George Alexander Storm on Friday, May 26, 2017 in his 84th year at his home surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. George will be greatly missed by his wife and best friend of 56 years Sylvia, his adoring daughter Diana (Connor) and his son Craig. He will be missed dearly by his loving granddaughter Brooke (Josh), grandson Joshua and great grandson Lucas and grandsons Derek, Jack, Mack, Charlie and Noah. Also survived by a sister Joan Colwell. Special thanks to Aunt Wanda for her love and support throughout this time and always. He was predeceased by his parents George and Laura Storm, his brother Gilbert, his in-laws Hap and Elva Day, brother-in-law Stephen Day and brother-in-law Donald Maurais. Family was utmost important to George. He adored his wife, children, grandchildren and extended family. He spent many years volunteering his time to coach ball and it was his passion and he has never forgotten any of the days with the girls he coached and mentored. Special thanks go to Care Partners, Continuing Care, CCAC and especially Dr. Peter Brooks for the exceptional care. Visitation at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Friday, June 2, from 4-7 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 10 a.m. A reception will follow.
