Pauline Clarida Helm (nee Quinlan), 90, was called home by our LORD and Saviour on Sunday May 7th surrounded by her loving children. Pauline was born on January 14, 1927 in Stratford, daughter of the late William Quinlan and the former Clarida Legault, and loving sister to the late Dr. Vincent Quinlan. Beloved wife and soulmate of the late Arnold J. Helm (October 1, 1993). Loving Mother of Judi and her husband Doug Allen of Sebringville, their twin daughters Jennifer (Tyler) and Cristine (Connor), and her son Bruce William Helm and his wife Carol of Myrtle Beach, SC and their son Gregory. Pauline had a loving nurturing relationship with Arnie, holding hands to the end. Family was always her top priority and it showed. She cared deeply for her two children, and twin granddaughters. Pauline was active in the Church, a member of the Catholic Womens League, and an Auxiliary Minister delivering communion to the sick. She volunteered for countless charities including the Hospital Auxiliary and Meals on Wheels Program. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi. Pauline had a certain innocence that was light hearted and optimistic. She viewed the world through rose-colored glasses, always looking for the positive in every situation, extending a hug and a hand. She was quick witted, and enjoyed making people smile. She will be dearly missed and remembered for her kindness and loving ways. Friends and relatives may gather at St. Josephs Roman Catholic Church, 96 Huron Street, Stratford on May 12, 2017 from 10 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m. A private Family Interment in Avondale Cemetery will follow the reception.
