Ann Carolyn Hopps bravely and peacefully passed away with family at her side at the Stratford General Hospital on Sunday, June 18, 2017 at the age of 72. She has been reunited with her loving husband Harold Hopps, who predeceased her in November 2014. Loved dearly by her children, Jason Hopps and Krista and Harry Scott; special Grandma to Adam & Oliver Scott and Rowan Hopps; sister-in-law of Bob Hopps and the late Linda Forbes, Doug Hopps, John and Kim Hopps, Kevin and Kathy Hopps and Sandra Noble. Ann will be greatly missed by Ellen Findley, Virda and Terry Green and Gary and Linda Smith, among her cherished lifelong friends. She was also pre-deceased by her parents Keith & Beatrice Delmage, and parents-in-law Louise Findley, Wilfred & Irene Hopps. Ann and her sense of humour will be missed by her loving family, friends and caregivers. Her dear Care Partners nurse Dori, private home caregivers and staff from Cheshire Perth, will surely miss her fierce spirit and determination. Her children supported her to live in her home and had the gift of her love and meaningful time together these last few years. Ann and Harold owned a Driver Education business for many years. Ann enjoyed several seasons working in membership and as an usher/greeter at the Stratford Festival. They were active at their Snow Bird community, Casa Del Sol in Davenport Florida. The family spent 20 seasons enjoying their trailer at Sauble Falls. Memories made traveling with Harold comforted Ann in the years she was apart from him. They met New Years Eve 1966, instantly loved each other and they lived a full and joyous life together. She looked forward to watching NASCAR each weekend, sporting her favourite purple race day shirt and cheering on #48 Jimmie Johnson. A celebration of Anns Life will be held in the Reception Centre of the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St., Stratford, on Sunday June 25, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. Interment of Anns cremated ashes will take place in a small family gathering on Monday June 26, 2017.
