Mai Que Chung, age 92, of Stratford, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Stratford General Hospital. Loving wife of the late Henry Chung, whom she married in 1947 and who predeceased her December 1988. Proud mother of Sing (Ivy) Chung, Nancy Chung (Pat White), Linda (Jack) Joe and her step-children Bo Sim (Paul) Chew and Carol Lee. Grandmother of Laureen Chung (Blaine Mohninger), Andrew Chung (Nicole Rider), Christopher Joe, Jonathan Joe, and step-grandmother of Anna Chew (Bernie), Warren Chew, Eva Chew (Dan Lam) Joanie Lee, Kenny Lee (Helen), Albert Lee and Judy Lee. Great-grandmother of Sebastien, Lucy, Malie, Kai and step-great-grandmother of Justin, Stephanie, Nathan, Michael, Andrew, Laura and Kevin. Mai and her late husband retired to Stratford in 1983 from Listowel, after operating a restaurant and later a bake shop and catering business. Besides her parents and husband, Mai is predeceased by a step-daughter Bo Wai, a step-son-in-law Dart Lee, a sister and a brother. The family would like to sincerely thank, Dr. Wayne Parsons and Dr. Anne Martin for the wonderful care of their mother, and to the compassionate staff at Stratford General Hospital and Woodland Towers, a big Thank You.
