Lorne William Ellah, age 81, of Stratford passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital on July 23, 2017. Beloved husband of Janice Kieswetter-Ellah (Voisin). Loving father of Tania Asselstine, Todd Ellah (Raquel), Karen Green (Robert), Carla McKay (Michael). Grandfather of Noah, Cole, Cara, Brett, Tyler, Olivia and Taylor. Brother-in-law of Fred Weyers (Carolyn), John Voisin (Cathy Wittig), Sharon Fassbind (Paul), Basil Voisin (Elizabeth Clifford), William Voisin (Jan), James Voisin (Zita), Kim Bailey (Don) and Paul Wintermeyer. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Dora Cole (Wilker) and Eugene Debs Cole, a sister Carol Weyers, brother-in-law Patrick Voisin and sisters-in-law Peggy Voisin and Patricia Wintermeyer. Lorne attended Central Secondary School, Stratford. He acquired many college and university diplomas throughout his working career. Lorne worked at Kroehler Manufacturing and later at Fram, retiring as Quality Control Supervisor in 1994. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church. Friends and relatives may call at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Monday, July 31, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., with parish prayers being offered at 1:45 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 96 Huron Street, Stratford on Tuesday, August 1, at 11 a.m. Rev. Fr. Dick Bester – celebrant. A reception will follow in the parish hall.
