It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mom, mother-in-law and Oma, Mrs. Annemarie Hausleitner, on Tuesday August 22, 2017 surrounded by her family. Annemarie is dearly loved by her husband Willi and her three daughters, Susan (Andy), Shirley (Paul) and Sheila (Dave), and her grandchildren, Alexander, Tessa (Tucker), Curtis, Isaac and Joshua. Oma was particularly proud of her grandchildren, sharing much of her time, talents and German traditions with all of them. Annemarie will also be missed by her brother Willi of Germany, sister-in-law Inge (Ali) of Switzerland and sister-in-law Maria of Austria and their families, as well as her very dear friend Marianne of Germany. Annemarie was predeceased by her parents Marie and Philip of Germany.
Annemarie was born in Auerbach, Germany on September 20, 1936. Her caring and gentle personality led her into the nursing profession. Annemarie worked as a nurse in Germany, and for a short time here in Stratford at People Care. Annemaries caring nature will be remembered and cherished by her family and friends. Annemarie had a love of cooking! Family gatherings were always a highlight for all of us, especially Mom. These times were filled with love, laughter and sharing of stories and memories. Annemarie was an active and faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church, participating in the choir, Evangelical Lutheran Women (ELW) group, Meals on Wheels and Shuffleboard to name a few. Annemarie also belonged to the Teutonia Choir of which she was a member for many years.
