It is with great sadness, the Becker family announces the passing of Eileen Marie Becker, age 87, peacefully at Spruce Lodge, Stratford on Tuesday, October 10, 2017. Born in Logan Township, daughter of the late Harold and Theresa Cooper. Eileen spent most of her time raising her children, being the wife of a soldier of World War II; she relished in the accomplishments of her grandchildren and she had a great sense of humour and had a fondness for animals. Eileen would never ever pass up a good Timbit. Eileen was predeceased by her husband Gordon (1980), a brother Harold and by son-in-law Raymond Cook. Loving mother of Theda (Doug), Joanne Cook, Brian (Ann), Cheryl, Alex, Debbie and Karyn (Andrew). She will be missed by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought great joy into her life, and all held a special place in grandmas heart. Dear sister of Alexander Cooper (Glenna), Betty Ann Vassallo (Steve Molnar), Nancy Mead and along with several nieces and nephews. Eileen will be missed by her many lifelong friends. A special thank you to Dr. Peter Brooks and the wonderful staff of Spruce Lodge and People Care for the outstanding care shown to Mom over the last number of years. A private family graveside service will be held at Avondale Cemetery, Stratford.
