With great sadness, we announce the passing of Eldene Rose Lotz, age 82, of Stratford. Eldene passed away peacefully and was surrounded by her loving family at Sakura House on Tuesday, October 31, 2017, after a short courageous battle with cancer. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and sister-in-law. She had the most generous, loving heart and touched many lives with her kindness. Eldene especially enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to spend her time knitting, crocheting and gardening. Predeceased by husband Kenneth Lotz (1991) and by her parents Eli and Olga Steckley. Loving mother of Wayne Lotz (Sue), Debra Harvey (Dave), Brad Lotz (Cindi), Randy Lotz (Linda) & Kim Graham (Paul). Proud grandmother to Michelle Garbe (James), Krista Carleton (Erik), Kelly Lotz (Drew), Jason Harvey (Sally), Micheal Harvey (Jessica), Jeremy Lotz (Vanessa), Daniel and Liam Lotz, Brian Lotz (Brittany), Jenny Lotz (Wouter), Tyler Graham (Holly), & Melissa Graham (Greg) and 11 great-grandchildren. Eldene will be dearly missed by her brother Bill Steckley (Norma), sisters Anne Culos, Audree Sikorski, Elaine Thornton and sister-in-law Louise Steckley. Predeceased by brothers Clarence Steckley, Ken Steckley and sister Lorraine Langohr. A private service for immediate family will be held at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford.
