Gerald George Malcho, age 74, of Stratford passed away peacefully with family at his side at the Stratford General Hospital on November 23, 2017.  Born in Stratford, March 2, 1943, son of the late George and Audrey (Hartwig) Malcho and step-father Edward Wilker.  Beloved husband to Corrine (Rumig) for 48 years. Loving father of Robert (Janette), Janice Johnson (Brendon), Jason (Deanne). Grandfather of Hailey Malcho, Nathan and Carter Johnson, Hunter and Avery Malcho. Gerald is survived by his sister Marilyn Foley (Dennis), step-brothers and sisters Gloria LeSouder (Gus), Wendy Reis (Brian), Kathy Cockrane (Kenn), Cindy Lange (Ray), brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Mary Helen McIntosh (Dave), Theresa Martell, Cathy Amyot (Roger), Chris Rumig (Lisa). Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by an infant brother, a step-sister Lorna Wilker and a brother-in-law Paul Rumig. Visitation at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Sunday, November 26, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 2 p.m. Interment at Avondale Cemetery followed by a reception at the funeral home. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation through the funeral home. 519.271.7411
