Gordon William Wettlaufer, age 63, of Monkton passed away suddenly at home on January 2, 2018. Born in Stratford, July 29, 1954, son of the late Gordon and Pearl (Pfaff) Wettlaufer. Gord drove truck for Casey Gansevles and later Grant Trucking. He was an avid lover of classic cars, racing and car shows. Gord was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Gads Hill. He is survived by his son Gordon Jr. and his family and step son Alfred.  Loving brother of Audrey Yousef (Qasem), Shirley Ellis (Homer), Colorado and Yvonne Roth, Texas. Also survived by sisters-in-law Mary Saunders, Bev Buuck, nieces and nephews Leila, Adam, Amber, Kim, Cindy, Tracy, Patsy, Carol, Norman, Joan, Tim, Ron, Susan, Jennifer, Julie, Kevin, Steve and special friends Ray Baker and good neighbor Gord Cupsky who helped out Gord over the years. Predeceased by brothers Wayne and Fraser Buuck and a nephew Gary Ellis. Visitation at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Friday, January 5, 2018 from 6-9 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Rev. Patricia Jackson will officiate. Spring interment at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church Cemetery.
