Frank William (Tony) Goforth, age 90 of Maple Lane Park, St. Marys and formerly of Stratford passed away peacefully at St. Marys Hospital on January 3, 2018. Tony was born in Stratford, August 10, 1927, son of the late Leonard and Emily (Ellis) Goforth. Tony was predeceased by his daughter Jo-Ann McClure, brothers Robert, Roy, Art, Reid, Ken, Russell and Gord and by brothers-in-law Wayne and Don Kunder. Lovingly married to Lois (Kunder) Goforth for 70 years. Proud father of Waverley Griffin (Declan) and Jo-Ann McClure (deceased) and partner David Watt and his son-in-law Paul McClure. Loving grandfather of Kieran Griffin (Allison Tomotsuga) and their twin sons Ronin and Khalen; Lindsay McClure (Ellen Thornton) and their children Jordan, Jenson and Kayden; Amber Mansell (Ryan) and their son Keagan. Also survived by his brother-in-law Keith Kunder (Wendy) and many nieces and nephews. Tony was a lifelong employee of Kroehler Manufacturing, long-time member of St. Pauls Anglican Church, Stratford, member of 4 RCR Officers’ Mess and Kiwanis Club, and the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #8, Stratford. Family will receive friends at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, 9 Douro Street, Stratford on Saturday, January 6, where the funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Rev. Daniel Bowyer will officiate. A reception will follow in the church hall. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of one’s choice through the W.G.
