As John followed the steps of his beloved Grandfather (Lorne Grube), he was a successful Roofing Contractor as “John Grube Roofing” in the Stratford and Woodstock area for several years. His passion was in sports and he was successful in any sport he tried. He was an active parent at every soccer and hockey practise, game and competition that his children participated in. In some of those years he coached. John enjoyed the Highland Games where his daughters participated in the dance competitions and he was anchor to the “always” winning Tug of War Team. John enjoyed cooking and loved animals. He spent many hours training his “rescue dogs” that also enjoyed soccer games and long hikes.
God knows him and always loved him. God holds him now in His hands where he can rest in peace.
In keeping with John’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service at Avondale Cemetery and a “Celebration of Life” will be held at a later date.
