Keith William McKone, age 80, of Stratford, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family on Monday, February 19, 2018. Born in Stratford, son of the late Leonard and Ivy (Jarrett) McKone. Survived by his loving wife of 52 years; Mary Ellen (McCaffery) McKone. Proud father of Jennifer (Duart) Noordhof, Michael (Lori) McKone, Keith (Jen) McKone and Renee (Tim) Soper. Much loved grandfather of Kate (Dorian), David, Sam, Aaron, Jonathon, Cara, Alexandria, Cameron, Devvon, Logan, Julia, Madison, Ethan, Makayla and great-grandfather of Addie and Lucas. Keith will be remembered by his siblings; Joan (Chuck) Smith, Delores (Bob) Crossan, Gerald (Lu) McKone and his sisters and brothers-in-law; Elsie McKone Pierce, Iris McKone, Tom Brownley, John (Pat) McCaffery, Hugh (Mary ) McCaffery, Monica (Steve) Kropf, Agnes McCaffery and Jim McCaffery. The family would like to sincerely thank Dr. Grace Langford, friends, neighbors and especially Danielle, Kendra, Val, and special family friends Tara and Sylvia for the wonderful care and compassion you gave to Keith through this journey. Besides his parents, Keith was predeceased by his father and mother-in-law Jim and Peggy McCaffery and his siblings; Don (Elsie), Bruce (Shirley), Ken, Audrey, Len, a brother in infancy and a brother-in-law Michael. Friends and relatives may call at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, on Monday, February 26, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Immaculate Conception Church, 50 Well Street, Stratford on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.  As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church Restoration Fund, Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of one’s choice through the funeral home. 519.271.7411
