Gordon Edward Burbidge, age 85, of Stratford passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital on April 24, 2018. Born in Toronto, February 18, 1933, son of the late Robert and Estella Burbidge. Gordon worked with the Royal Bank of Canada for 38 years until his retirement in 1988. He was a member of the Community of Christ Church, Stratford. Gordon was involved with the Rotary Club, Lions Club and the Canadian Cancer Society for many years. In retirement he volunteered with Camp Quality and World Accord building schools in Honduras.   

Beloved husband for 63 years of Mary (Cooper). Loving father of Colleen Bowden (James), Blair (Cindy), Scott (Connie), Marilyn Burbidge-Wright (Peter), Gordon and Barry (Susanne). Grandfather of Sharon Antoun (Joe), Andrew (Christina), Hannah, Nathan, Wesley, Samantha, Gregory, Rebecca Wright (Nat), Jeffrey, Liam, Aidan and Arielle. Great grandfather of Harper, Zachary and Grace. Dear brother of Lorne (Isobel), Ethel Hawman (Bill). Also survived by brother-in-law Jack Cooper (Janice) and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a grandson Matthew Wright.
