The family of Jack Taylor Jr, age 73 of St. Marys and formerly of Stratford, are very saddened to announce his sudden passing on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at St. Marys Memorial Hospital, a much loved, husband, father and grandfather. True love and best friend of nearly 50 years to Nicole.  Jack was the proud father of 3 wonderful sons, Ryan (Marcy) Rudy (Frances) and Alexander and close friend Becca.  He cherished the time with his 5 grandchildren, discussing cars with Devin, hockey with Curtis and Reid, and watching his granddaughters Ella and Natalie play ringette.  He is leaving in sadness his parents Jack and Marion Taylor of Stratford, his sister Cheryl Plesha of Chicago, along with his nieces Tiffany Yerkes (Paul) & Ginger Plesha (Lisa).

Jack worked at International Artcraft as a lithographer for 35 years and for the past 15 years was employed at Community Living. He was well loved by all, and his kindness and genuine concern of staff and clients was truly appreciated.

One of proudest accomplishments in his life was his company Taylor Bats. It gave him the opportunity to interact and discuss baseball with anyone that would care to listen. Baseball was his true love.

Some of you will know Jack for being at “The Sunset Diner” where he had the title of “Honorary Maître D”.  Time spent at the restaurant were some of his happiest moments.  Cremation has already taken place. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Jack’s life at the St. Marys Golf & Country Club, 769 Queen Street, E., St. Marys, on Saturday, April 7 from 1 to 3 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Community Living (St. Marys).
