Lyda Mauretta Jeffrey, age 91, of Harmony, ON went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 12, 2018. Born in Usborne Township, February 22, 1927, much loved daughter of the late William and Martha (Penwarden) Stephen. Loving wife to William Monteith Jeffrey for 70 years.  She was a treasured farmer’s wife who helped to make it all happen. Loving mother of Helen (Terry) Detlor, Marian MacLeod, Bill Jeffrey, Andrew (Tara) Jeffrey, Marlene Mackenzie, Harold (Deb) Jeffrey and Ed (Michelle) Jeffrey.  Proud grandmother of 19 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. Lyda is survived by her siblings; Douglas (Dorothy) Stephen and Greta (Bob) Anderson along with many nieces and nephews. Lyda is predeceased by her children Jane, Preston and baby Ann, her granddaughter Yvonne, daughter-in -law Marilyn Jeffrey, son-in-law Andrew MacLeod and her brothers Harry and Earl Stephen. Family and friends may call at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 from 6-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, August, 15, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Ken Wagler and Bob Heywood will officiate. Interment to follow in Avondale Cemetery.
