Edith Jeannette “Jean” Cook (Beckner) of Stratford, passed away peacefully at People Care (Tavistock) at the age of 87, on February 19, 2019. Born in Stratford, daughter of the late Herbert “Stan” and Jennie Beckner. Jean was a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Stratford.  Predeceased by her husband Carson Cook (2006), by her son Donald Stanley (1991) and by her brothers Herb (Laura), Lawrence “Red” (Eunice), Mervin (Florence) and Kenneth Stanley Beckner (WWII). Jean is survived by her son Gary Brennan (Eleanor) of Owen Sound, her daughter-in-law Dianne Yundt (Wayne) of Stratford. Grandmother of Dawn Sutter (Kevin), Trevor Brennan (Mandy), Andrew Brennan (Rebecca), Lindsay Brennan, Laura Anderson (Rick) and Mark Brennan. Great-grandmother of Tyler, Kirsten, Lily, Jack, Dominic, Aubrey, Janine, Emily, Quinlan and Arthur. Also survived by sister-in-law Jean Peck. The family would like to express our gratitude to those who looked after our mother at People Care (Tavistock) and to the Stratford General Hospital Dialysis Staff and all her special friends.
