It is with heavy hearts that the family of Robert John Sebben announce his passing on October 17, 2019 at Stratford Hospital.  Born in Stratford on February 20, 1949, he loved farming, his family and life.  Despite multiple health issues, he kept both his passion for life and his sense of humor, always quick to make others laugh.  A loving husband to Ruby Sebben, an amazing dad to Sandra (Roger Egli), Jill (Matt Denys), Andrew, Robbie (Elysia) and Gary (Danielle).  Proud grandpa/papa to Alayna, Brandon, Dayna, Owen, Trent, Jacob, Reid, Bryce, Willow, Koryne, Kayson and Myla.  He will be missed by brothers Lorne Sebben and Jim (Judy) Sebben, as well as his father-in-law Herb Beierling, sister-in-law Joyce Kirk and brother-in-law Wayne (Joan) Beierling.  He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was predeceased by parents, Jim & Dorothy Sebben, brother Bruce Sebben, mother-in-law Marjorie Beierling and brothers-in-law Gord Beierling and Donald Kirk.  The family wishes to thank Rob’s CarePartners team as well as the nurses at the chemo unit of SGH, who got to know him quite well.  Thanks also to the ICU nurses and RT Alister Hamilton for their care and compassion, the Rev’d Canon Dr. Lorne Mitchell, and Pa’s doctors (Dr. Heisz, Dr. MacNaughton, Dr. Tamblyn, Dr. Kara, Dr. Nicholson and Dr. Hsia).  Over the course of his illness, Rob received over 200 units of blood.  That’s over 200 single donations!  The majority of those were received in the last 2 years.  Those donations gave us precious extra time with our husband and dad.  If you are a blood donor, THANK YOU! If not, please consider donating.  What an incredible gift you could give to another family!
