Tina Eybergen, age 89, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Monday, November 18, 2019 at Stratford General Hospital. Born in the Netherlands, daughter of the late Cornelis and Clara (Hakkaart) Van der Meer. Tina has been reunited with her true love and soulmate William whom predeceased her on April 26, 2014. Loving mother of Cathy (Dean) Crocker, Gord (Faye) Eybergen, Clara (Vic) Eybergen-Meilutis and Paul Eybergen (Catherine Klaver). Proud grandmother to Curtis, Jodie (Keith), George (Xia), Amanda (Jason), Cory, Alexandra (Craig), Vanessa (Nick), Chris, Kaden, Alyshia and great-grandmother to James, Caroline, Gavin and Ella. Tina is survived by her sister Bep Quispel, and she will be fondly remembered by the entire Eybergen Family, and along with her many nieces, nephews and cousins. Tina was a long-time parishioner at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church and she devoted her life to many acts of kindness, as a volunteer for 35 years at Hillside Manor, long-standing member of the CWL and Palliative volunteer at Stratford General Hospital for 10 years.  Besides her husband and parents, Tina was predeceased by her siblings; Lia, Ferdinand, Riet, Nel and Hanny.  Family and friends may call at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford  on Friday, November 22, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. (CWL Prayers will take place at 1:45 p.m.). The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 96 Huron Street, Stratford on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 10:00 a.m.  Interment to take place following the Mass in Avondale Cemetery.
