Helen Louise (Sturdy) McManus

Helen passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday January 24th at the age of 90. Helen lived a rich and full life! She came to Stratford to study nursing and it was there that she met her husband of 69 years, Allan. Helen devoted her life to raising her family and being a kind and loving friend to all. She will be missed dearly by her children. Brenda (Jack Edwards), Alanna Maureen (Steve) Hosking, Britt (Leslie) and Jody (Randy Coulombe). Helen was an amazing grandmother to Cincy (Malcom) Fletcher and Matthew (Katey) Edwards, Brooke (Mark) Read, Nick (Hannah) Hosking, Mira and Macy Coulombe and 6 precious great-grandchildren. Born in Wingham to Frank and Elsie Sturdy, Helen was predeceased by her only brother Bill and sister-in-law Frances. Helen was loved and supported by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Vivian (Barry) (deceased) Thompson, Milton (Joan) and Barry (Barb). She was the proud aunt of special nieces Kerry McManus and Sue Sturdy. Helen brought joy and positivity to all aspects of life. Visitation at the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 from 2 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 3 p.m. followed by a reception.
