Deborah Joan Seward (Struckholt), 55, passed suddenly on April 24, 2020 at her home in Stratford, ON. Beloved wife of John Seward for 35 years. Mother to Lauren Seward-Munday (Abby), Alexander (Amber), Maximillian, and Olive Seward, Grandmother to Walter Seward-Munday. Daughter of ‘Herman’ Volkmar Struckholt and Lorraine (Bloxom).  Predeceased by Brother Derek.

Deb was born in North York and lived in Concord and Etobicoke during her youth.  She eloped with John (Darren and Anthony) then honeymooned in the bush on a canoe trip along the Moon River.  They settled in Stratford in 1992 to raise their 4 children. Deb’s passions included: nail art, painting, beading, photography, knitting and crochet, gardening, baking, and film. She was never afraid to try something new and then usually wound up mastering it.

Deborah was a mentor, mother, caregiver, artist, creator, chef and trivia aficionado. She passed her artistic enthusiasm to her children. Her sharp wit, resourcefulness, and breadth of knowledge will be remembered by all.

A private service was held with close family on April 25, 2020. A celebration of life will be held at a later date given current social distancing practices. We ask that people donate to CAMH or paint your nails in her honour.
