Michael Tigani, age 94, of Stratford passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on April 20, 2020. Born in Stratford, August 4, 1925, son of the late Joseph and Madeline (Nebucco) Tigani.

Mike started as a butcher with Bob and Pearl Ostler in St. Marys and later worked at the IGA and Lori-Jo in Stratford. He was a 60 year member of Bethel Church, Stratford and a 15 year member of the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship. Mike’s first priority was his faith and his family. He was a man who loved and was loved. Mike was sports fan and an avid golfer. He played into his 90’s defeating many players years younger much to their frustration. When he could no longer play on the course he would play virtual golf with his good friend Carl.

Beloved husband for 65 years of Gladys (LeSouder). Loving father of Michael, Madeline Sweetzir (Arthur), David (Karen), Melody (Paul Teahen), Rene (Richard Beardon). Grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Also survived by sister-in-law Dolores Tigani and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by siblings Frank, Alfred and Dominic Tigani, Lena Brad and Lucy Jonas.

The family would like to thank the Janine and PSW’s at Woodland Towers for their loving care.

A family service will be held followed by interment at South Easthope Cemetery. A celebration of Mike’s life will be held in the future and will be announced.
