After a long and fruitful life Reta Elizabeth Armstrong passed away peacefully at Kingsway Lodge on Sunday April 26 two weeks after her birthday. She was born the daughter of Fred and Margaret (Greene) Scott. 

On April 12 1952 she married Elmer Armstrong (January 6, 1995) and started a life together on the Armstrong Homestead. She is survived by her daughter Sheila (Harry) and nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sister Evelyn Knechtel (Bob) her brother Laverne Scott (Marie) and her brother –in –law Perc Armstrong (Florence). 

In her retirement she looked forward to when she could play cards at various centers. Here she met many new people who became lifelong friends. She enjoyed joking and conversing with each and everyone. Eucherames were a highlight each month where she enjoyed a great lunch and fellowship. The people she met were the best people in the world. 

A special thanks to all the staff at Kingsway Lodge her new home for over a year and a half. You were all so kind and generous with your time. She enjoyed each and everyone of you and listening to what you were up too. 

A family graveside service will be held at Avonbank Cemetery. As Expressions of Sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Kingsway Lodge Activity Fund, the Stratford General Hospital, or Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth through the W G Young Funeral Home 430 Huron Street Stratford 519 271 7411
