Harry Lindley Engeland, of Stratford, passed away peacefully at Sakura House Residential Hospice, Woodstock on May 24, 2020. Born in Milverton, July 20, 1940, son of the late John and Sue (MacCallum) Engeland.

Beloved husband for 50 years of Margaret (MacGregor). Loving father and grandfather of daughter Krista Elizabeth Winn (Dale) and their children Justin, Daniel and Calvin; daughter Barbara Engeland (Mike Howard) and their children Oscar, Leo and Vivian; daughter Ruth Howorth (Cass) and their children Jessica and Carter. Dear brother of Jim Engeland (Marli), Brenda Bourret (Harry), and Mac Engeland (Christina). Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Harry owned and operated Engeland Spray Company and shared his mechanical gifts with several bus lines, Shakespeare Volunteer Firefighters as well as neighbours and friends. Harry loved inventing and was a mechanical genius. Harry supported his community by serving on township council, being part of Shakespeare Optimist Club, delivering Meals on Wheels, and serving at Parkview United Church.  Harry and Marg enjoyed spending winter months in Florida at Whisper Creek where fellow residents always said “Harry can fix it”. His love and sense of humour will be missed by all.

A family celebration of his life will be followed by interment at South Easthope Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Sakura House, Woodstock, Parkview United Church or to the Shakespeare Optimist Club through the W.G.
