James “Jim” Ashley, of Anne Hathaway Retirement Residence, died peacefully at Stratford General Hospital on Wednesday September 16, 2020 at almost 98 years of age. Family members were able to visit with him in the days preceding his death. Most of his career was spent at the National Research Council (NRC) aeronautical division, finishing his tenure there as Section Head. A great enthusiast for all things related to the theatre, he and his late wife Audrey, retired to Stratford more than 30 years ago, attending the theatre, volunteering and travelling the globe.

James is survived by his son, Warwick and two grandchildren, Devon and Torrin, who were the apples of his eye. His cremated remains will be interred at God’s Holy Acre at St. James Church, Stratford, where his late wife’s ashes are also interred. He lived a charmed life. www.wgyoungfuneralhome.com
