Eugen Stoltefuss (1936 – 2020)

It is with deep sadness in our hearts that we mourn the loss of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, who left us on October 24, 2020. Eugen leaves behind his wife Karin of 59 years, daughter Connie Zorgdrager (Jeff), grandchildren Jane, Dean (Eilish) and great granddaughter Alexis. Sister Charlotte Goebel and her husband Rolf, their children Kay (Garry), Ron (Sharon), Ken (Carol) and their children and grandchildren. Surviving in Germany are brother Karl-Heinz (Anni) and many nieces and nephews. Eugen was predeceased by his parents, his sister Ilse and brother-in-law Werner. Sadly, son-in-law Owen Zorgdrager passed away September 20, 2014.

Upon immigrating to Canada in 1958, Eugen started in the shipping room at FAG Bearings. After 40 years of dedicated service, he retired at the age of 62 as Manager of Export Sales and Distribution. This position allowed Eugen to travel world-wide, and form many lasting friendships.

Eugen loved all sports but the game of soccer held a special place in his life, having played himself in Germany and Canada, including a period of semi-professional in the U.S.A.

Throughout his life the most important thing to Eugen was his family. He made sure “all is good” with them always. We will remember Eugen lovingly and forever keep him in our thoughts and heart.
