Leighton John Henry Soltys passed on September 21, 2020. He was an accomplished singer, songwriter and guitarist. He graduated from Selkirk College Guitar Program in B.C. and added to his already eclectic musical knowledge. 

He was a professional performer a.k.a. L8ON and also an instructor, composer, and recording artist. He recorded several original albums with numerous bands and also promoted and developed many other artists and their music careers. 

Leighton lived true to his name that means Orchestra Leader and was loved by all for his involvement in fund raising with his fellow musicians for those less fortunate. 

Leighton is survived by his father Henry John Soltys (Dana), Uncle Leslie Soltys and his cousins Jeannine Soltys, Michelle Lee, Adam Soltys, Aaron Soltys, and; Aunt Mara Phillips and daughter (Leighton’s cousin) Tanya Phillips. Leighton is pre-deceased by his mother Nina Jane Beatrice Phillips

A Celebration of Life and a memorial to honour his life will be announced. Thank you to all that had your own celebrations of his life and playing his music. 

Donations to PARC – Promoting Awareness of RSD and CRPS in Canada is welcomed and can be arranged through the funeral home.
